- CLB 7 or higher in English or French
- Post-secondary education
- Proof of intent to reside in the province

Skilled Worker Category
For foreign nationals who have received a full-time job offer from an eligible Newfoundland and Labrador employer, this stream is ideal.

- CLB 5 in English or French

International Graduate Entrepreneur Category
Graduates from Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic may apply under this category.
Main Requirements:
- Completed a two-year program from a recognized NL institution
- At least one year of business ownership/operation
- CLB 7 in English or French
- 21–59 years old
This pathway encourages innovation and economic contribution by young professionals.
Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP)
Although not exclusive to NLPNP, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot is a complementary program supported by the province. It allows designated employers to hire foreign talent without an LMIA.
